Sipokazi Somzana; Visionary African Woman Award 2024 Recipient
Sipokazi Somzana represented South Africa at the Visionary African Women Summit held at the Kigali Serena Hotel in Rwanda from June 12 to June 16, 2024. The summit’s theme was “Empowerment Through Unity: Impact for Sustainable Development.”
The summit typically features keynote speakers, expert-led panel discussions, workshops, and interactive sessions covering a wide range of topics relevant to Africa and women. It aims to empower women by providing a platform to share experiences, challenges, and successes, fostering a sense of community and support. The event honors and recognizes visionary women in Africa for their impact and influence in their communities by celebrating their achievements during the summit.
The summit was attended by women from across the African continent and the USA, as well as men from around the globe who support women’s empowerment. This diverse attendance led to the summit achieving significant milestones, fostering groundbreaking ideas and invaluable connections among participants. As a VIP delegate, Sipokazi Somzana was honored and recognized with a special award at the Visionary African Women Summit Rwanda, 2024.
