About The Program
YSWN Green Basket Disaster Response Program:
The YSWN Volunteer Program is a dynamic national and international professional volunteer platform. We offer diverse volunteer opportunities for social workers eager to make a difference in the lives of our most vulnerable community members. Our platform serves as a hub for YSWN volunteer change agents to refine their skills while positively impacting society.
Unemployed Social Workers
The YSWN Green Basket Disaster Response and Relief program is designed to provide free psychosocial support and trauma intervention services to vulnerable communities in disaster affected regions in South Africa and SADC. Our program helps affected individuals and communities process and cope with the psychological aftermath of disaster. Our trained and qualified professionals offer compassionate and culturally sensitive support, creating safe spaces for survivors to share their experiences, express their emotions, and begin the journey toward healing and recovery.
Employed Social Workers
Our Disaster Relief Volunteer program extends a warm invitation to communities of social workers in practice as well as in academia, who wish to be part of our relief efforts in their respective regions, provinces and Countries.
Impact & Change Lives
Our goal is to create a ripple effect of positive change, where individuals empowered through our programs become agents of transformation within their own communities. By investing in the social welfare of our communities, we aim to cultivate a more resilient, compassionate, and connected society for generations to come.
